Trinity College, Edinburgh. Instrument of resignation by Mr Johne Leirmont [Learmouth], parson and vicar of Gogar, resigning the parsonages and vicarages of Gogar as one of the prebendaries of Trinity College, in favour of the town of Edinburgh, in accordance with a disposition of King James VI, for the sustantatium of the ministrie, college and pure of the said burgh. At Edinburgh, 8 Nov. 1597. Witnesses: Patryk Lyttle, Alexander Hagie, George Habisnethie, Patrick Lyttle, James Henrysone. Signed "maister Jhone Leirmont", Patrick Lyttle, Alex Hagie, James Henryson.
