Correspondence of the Campbell family of Melfort, Argyllshire. 242 letters. 1773-1859, two legal documents dated 1680 and 1685.

The great part of the correspondence falls into three groups:

  1. 58 letters (1773-1790) to Lt.Col. John Campbell, Governor of Fort George (d. 1790).
  2. 72 letters (1793-1823) to Capt. Archibald Campbell. Son of the above (d. 1823).
  3. 4 letters (1816-1843) of, and 94 letters (1825-1859) to Lt. Col. John Campbell, son of the above (d.1861).
