Professor Blackie attended Edinburgh University, and was later appointed Professor of Greek at Edinbrurgh University, 1852-1882.

Bought from Thin. 7/6. A signature featured inside the front cover, but illegible. Inked inscription on back cover: "Thin. 4.vi.56."

Physical Description

Both volumes: brown, nound in maroon leather, badly worn. 8^o. Title on binding: "Celtic Varieties." (upside down on vol. 2). Each volume is held together with a white cord.
