According to "MARIAGES AT FORT ST. GEORGE MADRAS." in The GenealogistThe Genealogist. A Quarterly Magazine of Genealogical, Antiquarian, Topographical, and Heraldic Research., ed. by H. W. Forsyth Harwood, New Series, Vol. XXI (21) 1905, p. 55: "Lieutenant James Brunton [H.E.I.C.S]" ("H.E.I.C.S" stands for "Honourable East India Company Service") married a Miss Mary Jackson on the 10th of November 1792.

Physical Description

Vol. 1: Brown, leather bound on the inverse. Suede-like texture. Some damage and shedding. Binding almost completely exposed, and spine loose. Title on cover, faint, but also on front fly-leaf/title page: "1st Volume. Minutes and Reports made by Lieutenant Colonel James Brunton Military Auditor General as a Member of the Military Board from the 5th March 1801 to the 26th September 1805". 14.25 x 9.25 in. 178 ff.

Vol. 2: Brown, leatherbound. Title on front cover: "2nd volume. Minutes and Reports made by Lieutenant Colonel James Brunton. Military Auditor General as a Member of the Military Bound from the 1st October 1805 to the 14th October 1806." 158 ff. (116 blank). Bound several call, bluid stamped, heraldic stamp.
