Scope and Contents
This collection consists of:
- A notebook containing a list of work projects, month by month, by Cicely Mary Barker, covering the period 1946 to 1967, with also some details about her daily life. Also includes some enclosures: a postcard from her sister Dorothy wishing her a happy birthday (no date, after 1936); letter from "Dr Evans" [or possibly "D. R. Evans"] to Cicely Mary Barker dated 14 July 1948 regarding a payment to her; and a letter from Mary C. Pringle to Cicely Mary Barker, dated 15 June 1964, thanking her for a monetary donation towards a church.
- A hand written nature notebook, with watercolour illustrations, by Dorothy Oswald Barker, dated August 1909. In each entry, Dorothy Barker (aged 15 at the time) describes the nature around her in great detail (weather, animals, plants and trees, appearance of the sky, etc.). Notebook partially empty.
