This collection consists of the original paleontological drawings of Professor Euan N. K. Clarkson (some in colour, some in black and white), used as teaching aids as well as for publication in academic journals and monographs in the field of palaeontology.

Biographical / Historical
Professor Euan Neilson Kerr Clarkson FRSE received a First Class BA in Geology from Cambridge University in 1960, and a PhD in 1964 on functional morphology in trilobites. He was appointed Assistant Lecturer at Edinburgh University in 1963, and rose through the positions of Lecturer (1967), Senior Lecturer (1978), Reader (1981), and Professor of Palaeontology (1998). He taught palaeontology, field mapping, map interpretation and regional and general geology.
Clarkson was president of the Edinburgh Geological Society (1985-1987), a trustee of the Natural History Museum (1987-1992) and president of the Palaeontological Association (1998-2000). He was awarded the Geological Society of London's Coke medal in 2010.
Euan Clarkson retired in 2002, and died in 2024.
