Scope and Contents This series was originally created to hold miscellaneous papers, but, has been expanded to accommodate records that were part of the 1927 gift, but had remained with the Offprints within the Library, and so have not been listed until 2024. Lyell, his team or latterly his family, appear to have created 'themed' folders, reflecting his key interests - for example, see 'Sea Serpents' in the previous series. Papers on lectures have been removed and placed with the other records in that series.
