Scope and Contents

Two volumes comprising 52 leaves with 100 water-colour illustrations (three double-pages) with captions in Japanese. One page of Japanese text at the end of volume two. The illustrations are finely drawn and painted in delicate colours, all well preserved, and depict 100 flower arrangements of Ikenobo rikka style. Two different kinds are mentioned; Rokkakudo and Takada Anryubo. These volumes are read from right to left.

Scope and Contents A sizeable collection of theatre/concert programmes from the North Russian Association (1928-1940). Founded in 1926, the North Russian Association grew out of a group set up by emigrants from Arkhangelsk living in London after the Revolution.
