Contains correspondence between Charlotte Auerbach and various institutions, chiefly concerning honorary membership or the awarding of prizes and degrees.. The institutions concerned include the Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina, the Genetics Society of Japan, the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters, Trinity College, Dublin and the University of Cambridge.

Contains Charlotte Auerbach's PhD and DSc certificates from the University of Edinburgh, honorary degree certificates from Trinity College, Dublin and the universities of Cambridge, Leiden and Indiana and awards made to Auerbach for her contributions to science, including the Darwin Medal and the Gregor Mendel Prize.

Certificate enclosed in a blue leather-effect presentation folder bearing the crest of the Royal Society. Accompanied by a table plan for the Royal Society Anniversary Dinner at the Dorchester on 30 November 1976, and a list of the recipients of Royal Society medals at the Anniversary Meeting.

Contains honorary degree certificate and citation in red leather folder with the seal of Indiana University imprinted. Accompanied by two newspaper clippings, a programme for the dedication ceremony of the addition to the Jordan Hall of Biology at Indiana University held on 05 October 1984 (2 copies) and a programme of the Symposium in the Biological Sciences held in celebration of the dedication on 04 October 1984.

Contains various photocopied biographical articles about Auerbach's relatives, including her father, Friedrich Auerbach, grandfather, Leopold Auerbach, uncle, Felix Auerbach, and cousin. Some of the articles are in German. Also contains a copy of a hand-drawn family tree. Original folder noted: 'Article on Lotte for Genetics - my drafts.'
