Edinburgh Gay Switchboard and Edinburgh Lesbian Line Annual Report, 1987 - 1988
Scope and Contents
The Annual Report contains a Co-ordinator's report which discusses: statistics showing an overall decrease in calls but an increase in serious counselling and details of which types of calls have increased; a grant from the Social Work Department; increase in new trainees for Lesbian Line; report on annual Training Conference; increase in befriending calls following a broadcast on the Community Service Announcement Scheme via Scottish Television (STV); introduction of the AIDS working group; the establishment of Scottish Parents Enquiry; and Clause 28 (also referred to as Section 28).
A Training Report is provided which discusses a shortage of women members but an increase in team size, the Autumn/Winter training programme formulated after the Dunblane Conference, and an outline of their training programme.
Also included is a Statement of Income and Expenditure for the year ending 31/03/1988, and Statistical Information for 1987 which lists the types and number of calls.
