Violence Surveys, 1991 - 1992
Scope and Contents
Completed questionnaires taken as part of the Edinburgh Gay Switchboard and Strathclyde Gay and Lesbian Switchboard Violence Survey. A report on the Survey is also included.
The Violence Survey was created after four murders within Edinburgh Gay’s community and it aimed to find out the extent of violence against the gay community and to bring attention to the subject.
The questionnaire asked if the person filling in the survey had experienced verbal abuse, physical assault, sexual harassment, blackmail, or had been raped, within the previous 12 months.
