Scope and Contents

Donald Finlay QC expressed consternation in court when his client was convicted of murder by a jury which took just 30 minutes to reach their decision, which he felt to be a scant amount of time to deliberate fully on such a serious charge. He himself was then criticised by the judge for his outburst. The case involved two men who had met in a public toilet.
