Biographical / Historical
Jean Currie trained as an occupational therapist and took a course at Astley-Ainslie Hospital in and around 1942. She worked as a nurse at Bangour Village Hospital, a psychiatric hospital, shortly before the Second World War and during the war, when the hospital was converted into Edinburgh War Hospital. She continued to work at the hospital after the war, when it reverted back to its function as a psychiatric hospital.
