Biographical / Historical
Helen E Batchelor was the mother of Penny Richardson, founder of the Cervical Smear Campaign and the Head On campaign group around women's mental health (see GD31). Helen was a student nurse at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh from Jan 1938 to May 1941. Helen left nursing in Jul 1941 to be married.
