Scope and Contents
Manuscript draft of an article for Almer Mater, University of Aberdeen periodical. Paterson discusses Christian ethics following the passing of his Uncle, John J. Macgregor. In sorting through Macgregor's belongings, Paterson uncovered a series of letters regarding a stolen (and subsequently returned) hat, and uses it as the basis of an ethical discussion. Item spans 11 numbered pages.
The copied letters between John J. Macgregor, Daniel M. Murphy and Agnes P. Gibson are dated May - June 1892. Paterson was Professor of Systematic Theology at the University of Aberdeen 1894-1904, and presumably wrote for Alma Mater during this time.
