Scope and Contents
Sermon and lecture notes of Archibald Bruce. 1775-89.
The first section of the volume is made up of 40 sermons, at various stages of drafting and development. The second section is lectures on biblical verses.
The volume has been rebound by the workshop of William Kidd, stationer and bookseller of Dundee in the late 19th and early 20th century. Many blank pages have been inserted after the original 206 manuscript pages. The binding is half brown leather with gold tooling, and five raised bands. The boards and endleaves are a matching floral green.
