MS COMM 1
Commonplace book written in several hands. Includes discourses of Philip Nye (1595–1672), a treatise on liturgies, a collection out of Ogilby's 'History of Japan', letters by Margaret Neale, transcribed songs and theatrical performances, copy of 'A Salyr [sic] upon the French King'. Written by 'a non swearing p[e]rson and dropt out of his pocket at Samm's coffee house.', various encomia and farewells, and miscellanous notes on astrology, Europe (1672), the House of Commons, Psalms, and death.

Commonplace book written in several hands. Includes 'Of grammar and its parts', notes on Welsh politician Lewis ab Owen (1522-1555), various sermon notes, including sermons by theologian John Owen (1616-1683), a library catalogue, and notes in shorthand throughout.
1666-1715. No page numbers. Bound in vellum with clasps.
