Records of the Berean Assembly, 1773-1839. One folio volume with vellum binding and various pagination. Laid paper bears the watermark of J Whatman, Turkey Mill, 1826.

Also includes memorial of events; register of names and baptisms; and enrolment of members at and after Mr Barclay's decease.

Several items are loosely inserted, including:

- Copy of Scottish Congregationalist, August 1933, with article on original Assembly at Sauchieburn

- Letter regarding the item's donation in 1933, from Duncan King Paterson to the Librarian of the Church of Scotland.

- Partial or draft petitions from June 1839, imploring a Mr Daniel Holles to assume the vacant position of pastor.
