Papers of Henry Erskine, (1720-54), Burgher Minister at Falkirk, split into three sections.

1. Item identifier: MS ERS H 4

Vellum notebook, with a note on the cover dating it to 1737-46 and belonging to Rev. Henry Erskine and Rev. John Erskine. Contains mathematical diagrams and formulae, and sermons preached by others - including Ralph Erskine. Text is mostly in shorthand, with an additional note by "J. M. W., 1898" loosely inserted.

2. Item identifiers: MS ERS H 5/1-4

4 Notebooks with text in shorthand, apart from 1 discourse in volume 1 that is in latin. Additional notes are loosely inserted into volume 1 and volume 4. They are in English, and are signed by J. M. W., 1898.

3. Item identifier: MS ERS H 6

Four printed pamphlets bound together into a single volume. Each title page bears the signature of Henry Erskine dated 1746 - 1747. The front flyleaf has a handwritten contents.
MS ERS H 6/1 - Ebenezer Erskine. 'A testimony to the doctrine, worship, government and discipline of the Church of Scotland'. Lumisden and Robertson, 1734. The name 'Janet Morison' is written above that of Henry Erskine, but is scored through.
MS ERS H 6/2 - Ebenezer Erskine et. al. 'Reasons ... why they have not acceded to the Judicatories of the Establish'd Church'. Lumisden and Robertson, 1735.
MS ERS H 6/3 - Ralph Erskine. 'Act, Declaration and Testimony for the Doctrine, Worship, Discipline and Government of the Church of Scotland'. Lumisden and Robertson, 1737.

Acts and Proceedings of the Associate Presbytery, Met at Edinburgh, May 1739 : Containing Their Declinature, to Which Are Subjoin’d Some Remarks on the Commission’s Libel, and on the Act of the General Assembly Relative to the Seceding Ministers : Containing a Genuine Copy of Mr. Erskine’s Protest in the Pulpit of Stirling, February 25th, 1739 with a Defence Thereof. Printed for James Jaffray bookseller in Stirling, and sold by him and other Booksellers in Town and Country, 1739.
