3 manuscript volumes relating to John Fraser (1744-1818), secession minister at Auchtermuchty.
1. Discourses written 1769-1783. Front flyleaf inscribed 'Bound in this form by his son Donald, to which contents are prefixed by his son William'. Pages numbered 1-89, mainly in shorthand but with some sections in latin script.
2. 'Sermons written by the late Rev. John Fraser, Auchtermuchty. 1785-1787'. front and end boards feature pen trials. Back fly leaf features an acrostic poem 'on the name of Mr. Hector macPhail, by a Lady, who I suppose was his Widow.'
3. 'Subjects of Discourses in the Manuscripts of Rev. John Fraser, arranged according to the order of the Books of the Holy Scriptures by his son William'. 100 pages in shorthand. Starting from the back, there are also two longhand sermons and ordination addresses by Rev. Donald Fraser, D.D. Kennoway.
