Notes of lectures and sermons in the Associate Congregation at Edinburgh. Newspaper clippings are pasted to the end leaves regarding the item's donation in 1880, and a portrait photograph is adhered to the end flyleaf.
Each end has a title page with a different date. The front title page reads:

In The Associates Congregation at Edinburgh.
From January 10 1762 - all along to October 17 1762 Inclusive.
N.b. This title answers only to the pages which are parallell to this, - lying next to one, when opening the book'
The rear title page reads:
