Scope and Contents

Bound volume with manuscript sermons and lectures. The majority of the text is in a clear but loose secretary style, however there are frequent additions by more modern hands throughout. In 5 parts:

1. Substance of Sermons by Rev. Andrew Gray of Glasgow, on Canticles, chapter I and II. The first sermon is dated 26 March 1661

2. Several sermons by Rev. William Guthie of Fenwick, on Mark XVI

3. Sacred Poem consisting of 69 stanzas, but wanting the first 5.5 stanzas

4. Sermons by Rev. James Fergusson of Kilwinning, on I Thessalonians 4:7

5. Printed (but unpublished) text titled 'The Complete Works of the Rev. Andrew Gray', 1653-1656

Pencil note on front board references donation by Rev. William Blair, D.D., of Dunblane. End fly leaf is filled with pen trials and ownership marks.
