Sermons of James MacKie (c.1686-1765), minister of Forteviot
Scope and Contents
Notebook of sermons preached at Forteviot, 1727 - 1733.
The first 69 pages are numbered, and provide definitions of theological terminology and page references for further discussion. This section of the volume is generally in a neat italic hand.
The remainder of the volume is not paginated, and is in a much looser hand. It is unclear whether this is a second scribe or a rough copy of the main sermon notes, as the two hands bear many similarities.
