Scrapbook of newspaper clippings on‘The Holm Case’, relating to Rev. John Pettigrew, United Presbyterian minister, Holm, Orkney. The case was one of libel following a conflict with presbytery elders, where Pettigrew was accused of inappropriate behaviour and discourse by a number of the presbytery. The moderator, Rev. Robert Reid of Firth, found Pettigrew guilty, and he was suspended from his duties.
Octavo volume with 70 numbered leaves. Newspaper columns are pasted to the recto pages.
