Notes affixed to the cover by Rev Prof Oliver Shaw Rankin, Chair of Old Testament Language, Literature and Theology at Edinburgh University give background information on 'Bedarshi' and note that a copy of a poem, entitled 'Bakkashath ham-Memim' ['Request of the Mems] is included in the book with a comentary by Joseph Francis.
