Scope and Contents

Signed copy of the 'Act of the Associate Presbytry [sic]; For Renewing the National Covenant of Scotland, and the Solemn League and Covenant of the Three Nations. In A Way and Manner agreeable to our present Situation and Circumstances in this Period.' Published in Glasgow, printed ('Pinted') by Jon Bryce, and sold at his shop opposite Gibson's Wynd, Salt-Market, 1776. Also weekly offering card for Woolton Congregation Church, c. 1870. Some pages have been excised and the final printed paragraph has been pasted over with a handwritten note, which has been partly torn. The note appears to have been written in 1781 by [-] Adam. Fifty six signatures are appended, which are attested by six people five of whom are ministers. These are followed by three further renewals of the covenant signed by the Associate Congregation of Kirriemuir. on 22 July 1789, 20 July 1809 and 15 July 1824.
