This fonds consists of 15 volumes of bound lecture notes that belonged to Ethelwyn Lemon. These notes were taken by Ethelwyn Lemon herself, or by other fellow female students, in the late 19th-early 20th century at the University of Edinburgh.

This fonds consists of five diaries written by Edwin Maybury of Nuneaton, Warwickshire covering the time period 1947-1951, when he was a student at the University of Edinburgh reading zoology. In his diaries, Edwin writes introspectively about himself, talks about his daily life as a student in Edinburgh, and records his experience of different lectures and practical courses. The collection of notes, contained within one volume, were written between 6 October 1910 and 8 December 1910. The notes deal with diseases of the ear, diseases of the nose, and diseases of the larynx. There are one or two small note insertions in the volume.There is a letter inserted into the volume. Three volumes of notes of lectures given by Charles Alston, entitled 'A treatise on the materia medica ... from the lectures of Charles Alston, M.D., Fellow of the College of Physicians and Professor of Botany at Edinburgh. 1733'. 183 x 165 mm, rebound. They bear the armorial bookplate of Alexander Russell, M.D. It is possible that this is the Alexander Russell that studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh, and graduated in 1779.
