Scope and Contents The collection is composed of 8 volumes of notebooks containing diaries or journals covering the period 1892-1901. One of the small notebooks is headed on the inside cover, Hospital Hill, King Williams Town, and contains official stamps and franked postage stamps over the year 1904. Another is headed, Free Church of Scotland, Livingstonia Mission, 1895. Archival envelopes contain photographs and cards of people and places in Africa, and a collection of drawings and sketches of local subjects.

Scope and Contents The collection of photographs and postcards shows the war devastation of Caen, June-July, 1944. The devastation is shown from different elevations, and feature not only the most prominent buildings but also the extent of the damage beyond the central area of the city. Some of the pictures show the streets and buildings of Caen before the bombings.

Records and Papers relating to the French West Africa Company (CFAO)

Scope and Contents The material consists of the correspondence and papers of Messrs. Donnison and Edwards, Castle Street, Liverpool, who appear to have been legal agents for CFAO. The items are mainly about property in Lagos Oshogbo, and Port Harcourt in Nigeria, Sekondi and Cape Coast Castle in Ghana, and Freetown in Sierra Leone. There is also material related to litigation in the matter of captured German vessels and personnel.

Scope and Contents This is a bound manuscript volume containing approx. 125 pen-and-ink drawings by Georges Focus, often signed by the author and sometimes dated 1694 or 1695. This artwork was produced during his confinement at the Parisian asylum 'Les Petites Maisons', where he was sent in 1680.
