Scope and Contents

The collection consists of: personal items relating to Glasswell's career (1964-1992); correspondence with students and colleagues in Africa (1966-1985); papers, articles and sermons on theology and on religion in Africa (c 1967-1984); and material on the North German Mission to West Africa, with correspondence with Rudolph Bultmann (c 1920-1969).

Scope and Contents The material consists of papers, reports, correspondence, articles and press cuttings relating to: (1) South Africa: includes some early records such as on Lovedale (1884-1950s), material on the Paris Evangelical Society (1917-1960s), and material on the reaction of the churches to events in South Africa (1960s-1970s).
