The saying appears to be a tongue-twister involving animals and people. The text has been scored through in pencil and it looks as if Alexander Carmichael has altered the 'chalmana' to 'chalamana'.

Saying entitled 'Fairies' beginning 'Naogh naoghanan a deol nan cioch'. The saying attributes nine nines of years [eighty one years] to each stage of life. Carmichael sums up that the lifespan for fairies would be 567 years. Text was written in ink and scored through in pencil as if transcribed elsewhere.

Song collected from Cairistina nin Duil [Cairistiona nighean Dùghaill or Christina MacInnes], Creagorry [Creag Ghoraidh, Beinn na Faoghla/Benbecula] beginning 'Chai an conn Gun deach an conn an cuil'. The song is composed of forty-five lines and it appears as if lines three and four have been missed out. The text has been scored through in ink as if transcribed elsewhere. Cairistiona is noted as 'Bean bhoc[hd] a bhios sniomh dhan mhnaoi agam'.
