Scope and Contents This is a typed signed letter (two lines in holograph) from Walter de la Mare to Nancy Bowden, dated The Old Park, Penn, 5 May 1947. De la Mare writes to Bowden of his "particular pleasure" in receiving her previous letter in which she wrote how she "discovered and with so much delight and interest Charlotte Mew's poems". Scope and Contents The papers consist of loose leaf songs and poems, letters, notes, 10 stitched booklets and a manuscript notebook all relating to, or produced by, Louisa Matilda Jane Crawford (1789-1857) a songwriter. There is both professional correspondence relating to the publication of her work and personal love letters between herself and her husband.
