"This boy was a boarded out child and a great problem at school, but not stupid. Considered abnormal. Now a message boy. Illegitimate, mother a maid in a hotel. [Male informant] this boy does many silly things - uprooting plants, letting ducks out, stealing eggs etc. Had several foster homes. Tried to get him in the army but he was too stupid. Very backward at school but something likeable about him. Burned his leg with a phospherous bomb."

Lives with a batcherlor uncle - he lets her lie in bed until 12 noon. Illegitimate. Ran away from her uncle's house and spent the night with a soldier. Ran away from her mother's house and stole. Seen at the clinic and admitted to CR for a year."
