Scope and Contents List of places in the north part of Uibhist a Deas/South Uist and the heads of cattle kept there. The cattle numbers are divided into 'cows, Heifers, stirks, Horses, colts, sheep' and the total number of of each is noted at the foot of the page. The list would have been created as part of Carmichael's duties as an exciseman.
