Incomplete story about duns and Lochlannaich [Vikings] describing how the people in Dùn Mhiùghlaigh [Miùghlaigh/Mingulay] were throwing arrows at the people on Githarum [Gèarum Mòr] and the Lochlannaich so that they had to move to Dùn Bhriste [Beàrnaraigh/Berneray] but the Miùghlaigh people attacked them again and they had to move further and further north to get away from them. The incomplete part of the story begins to tell about the arrival of a Lochlannaich vessel with wood.
Note about a holy woman and vocabulary, 1901
Note about a holy woman in Miulay [Miulaigh/Mingulay] that she was 'so holy' she would not share a drinking vessel with a Protestant but also notes 'She was a great thief + lies'. The vocabulary note reads 'Eirigeach = Heretic'.

Note collected from Roderick MacNeil, aged 88, crofter, Miùghlaigh/Mingulay about Croc-Coinein [or Cnoc Conain], that old houses stood there, that it is a 'sandy rocky stony place covered with sea-holly' and describing the colour of the sea-holly.

Note collected from Roderick MacNeil, Miùghlaigh/Mingulay which reads, 'Crois an t suichain [Crois an t-Suidheachain] where the priest used to say mass in the olden times.'

Note which reads 'Ruary [Roderick MacNeil, Miùghlaigh/Mingulay] has Laoi Mhic Ceallain remarkable correct. He appreciated it highly.'

Note about Na Druinnich, stating that they 'built all the duns in these isle[s]. They were their places of defence against the attacks of the Lochlannaich [Vikings]' and listing the places in Miùghlaigh/Mingulay, Barraigh/Isle of Barra, Bhatarsaigh/Vatersay and Beàrnaraigh/Berneray where the Druinnich lived.
