Note about archaeological sites around Loch Druidibeag/Loch Druidibeg, Tobha Beag/Howbeg, Sniseabhal/Snishival and Peighinn nan Aoireann/Peninerine, South Uist. Including the locations of Eilean an Ràna, Eilean an t-Sagairt and Dùn Altripeadh [Dùn Altabrug]. He states that Dùn Altabrug is roofed; that 'sornaichean' [kilns] are visible on Eilean na Cre'ich on Loch Eilean an t-Sagairt and at Gearr-sgeirean, Peninerine at low-tide a 'bota-moina' [vein of peat] six feet high can also be seen.

Note about Dùn Buidhe, Lochdruidebig [Loch Druidibeag/Loch Druidibeg, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist] that it is situated in the part of the loch known as Loch Ruaival [Loch Ruabhal], that it is an artificial isle of round stones with brambles growing there. The loch is two or three fathoms deep while the isle is thirty yards in diameter. An oblong hollow is described as the site of a house possibly called Clachan Lainginis [text is unclear].

Scope and Contents Note about the verse 'Rann Liadail' collected from Hector MacIosaig [Hector MacIsaac], Kean Langabhat, Iochdar [Ceann Langabhat, Ìochdar, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist]. The verse is said to have been composed by 'The Cailleach of Liadail' [Liathdail] who was said to have been 100 years old when she composed the verse. Several placenames are mentioned including Loch a' Cheann Dughain at Howbeag [Tobha Beag/Howbeg]; the river Ionnair Mòr flowing from Coire Ruevail on Teacal into Loch Druidibig...
