Note about Gaisgeir [Gàisgeir/Gasker] that it is a small island where about thirty ewes are kept as they thrive on the many plants that grow there describing the sheep as 'extra fat weigh 80 90 & 100 lbs'. Lambs are often taken from there to Tarasaigh/Taransay but 'they wither & die'.

Story about 'Catriona bheag nin a cheannaich' who was 'taken from Mac an Duiluisg Scarp [probably Lag an Uisge, An Scarp/Scarp] to Turkey [on crusade] whereupon her 'crios' was taken from her and became the 'Bratach' [Bratach Sìth]. The vocabulary note is for 'Mutag' which is a 'Skin bag for holding wool'.

Story about the the bird 'bunabhuachille' [buna-bhuachaille] (great northern diver) on Loch Uiseadan, Loch Leatha and Loch Bheinneasal [An Sgarp/Scarp, Na Hearadh/Harris] including a statement that Donald MacLean of Scarp who herded there while a boy and used to chase them 'among stones and water'.
