List of Argyll placenames, mostly from the Taynuilt area [Taigh an Uillt, Earra Ghàidheal/Argyllshire] including Baile an Deor, Tir Ruthadaich and Muc Carna [Baile an Deòir, Mucàrna/Muckairn] with a story which states that Alastair [Alasdair/Alexander] MacColl had to put Tai[gh] an Trithn [Taigh an Trithinn] on fire but he could not do it because a laogh alla 'a charmed calf' was in it. Note about the people of Muckairn [Mucàrna, Earra Ghàidheal/Argyllshire] probably collected from Donald MacColl, foxhunter, Glencreran, that shots would be fired at weddings there and that the sharp-tongued people of the parish were known as the 'gearra-ghobaich'.
Prophecy verse beginning 'Biodh na h-eich mhaide', 1892
Prophecy verse by Guala Crosda beginning 'Biodh na h-eich mhaide, Len sriannan cainbe tin is taighe' with a note explaining that the prophecy related to 'Na Sasanaich' [the English] and 'na h-eich mhaide' being 'vessels'. Also notes that Guala Crosda would speak to himself but people would listen to him. Some of the pencil marks in this item are very faint.
