A lithograph drawn by Charles van de Velde and lithography by Léon Sabatier. Taken from the North East of the town of Jerusalem. Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities in the world and is considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Both Israel and the State of Palestine claim Jerusalem as their captial.

A lithograph drawn by Charles van de Velde and lithography by Isidore-Laurent Deroy. Taken from the Damascus Gate, one of the main entrances to the Old City of Jerusalem. The current gate (2020) was built in 1537, beneath the current gate, the remains of an earlier gate exist dating back to the time of the Roman Emperor Hadrian.
