Area Garden, St. Andrew Square, c 1985
As per Coll-1167/B/27/14/1. Area Garden, St. Andrew's Square. The photographs in this section show how, in Geddes' estimation, dull basement areas may be improved by plants. This is not simply a statement of the obvious fact, it is a manifestation of an ecological and "green" culture, as a botanist and town planner. Handwritten title on the original envelope containing the corresponding glass plate negatives was written by Alasdair Geddes.
