Musician and Servants, c 1877-1904
Frieze left half of picture on Frieze with food and fans waiting on seated dignitary drinking from cup. Face appears to be mutilated. History:- (see Coll-1167/I/2/10 - Seated Dignitary), right half of picture, to which add:- "The head of the defeated king of Elam, Tenmman, can be seen hanging from a tree."

Photographs of Fourteen Assyrian Friezes, c 1877-1904
Composite item consisting of 14 mounted photographs, each showing a section of a frieze in an ancient Assyrian building or buildings. These are all mounted and stamped "A.Giraudon, editeur, 15 R.(rue) Bonaparte, Paris". The sculptures to which the photoraphs relate are held in the British Museum. The friezes are restricted to those which relate to the reign of King Ashurnasirpal II of Asyrria (883-859BC) and to King Ashurbanipal of Assyria (669-631BC).

Part of damaged frieze:shows vine entwined in its branches, sunflowers growing beside the tree. Lioness couchant, and part of a lion. History:- "Stone sculpture from the internal walls of the North Paiace of Ashurbanipal at Nineveh, c. 645BC Now in the British Museum.".

Description as noted in title, with one-line cuneiforn inscription below. History:- "Stone Sculpture of Ashurnasirpal II from Nimrod, ancient Kalhu, c. 865BC. Now in the British Museum. A register of his standard display inscription has been cut off below the scene."
