Campbell enquires as to whether there are any experiments that he could undertake with mice similar to those he began in 1899. He offers his room in Inverleith Gardens, Edinburgh, to Ewart for any work he might like to carry out.

The back of the letter contains notes, possibly in Ewart's hand, relating to the cross breeding of dogs.
