Scope and Contents McKinnon states that no ponies of the type that Ewart described can be found on the islands of Mingulay and Barra. He has been able to secure a mare foal, one of the first real Barra breed to be seen for a long time. He adds that he can secure two differently-coloured Barra ponies for him.
