Sopwith confirms that models used on p. 57 of the 'Elements' are original designs, not copies. Gives some detail as to the provenance of his design, in defence of enquiries by Lyell, and a Mr. Farcey. Hopes Lyell can reference the models in his next edition. Invites him to view Moelwyn mountain, which can be seen from the Woods & Forests...
