Scope and Contents This collection consists of around 30 drawings and paintings created by members of the Carmichael Stopes family, compiled by birth control pioneer and sexologist Marie Stopes (1880-1958). Scope and Contents This is a booklet containing watercolour sketches of Scottish landscapes by Hilda Burnet Salvesen (later Smith), daughter of Ted Salvesen, and granddaughter of founder Salve Christian Frederik Salvesen, founder of Christian Salvesen Ltd. Most sketches are captioned and dated from 3rd August 1906 to August 1908, which means Hilda would have been between 11 and 13 years old.
