[Male informant] says that he had brains but used them the wrong way; a liar and mischievious. Dr says this boy seems OK now.'

'This patient was seen a the Clinic. Diagnosed as an anxiety state. Doctor says she has a neurotic heart. Parents alive and well: Father an old shepherd. Patient worked first on a farm, then as a maid. Present illness began at the beginning of 1943 - palpitations and sleeplessness. Stopped working in March 1943. Is now married.'

Dirty, would lie in bed till midday and neglect her family, but could always catch the 2 o'clock bus to go to the pictures. Siblings: None known. husband died of TB. Children: House dirty, overcrowded. Much of the above from gossip. Minister confirms - of low intelligence.'

He is very keen on sport. Always keeps his jobs well. Changed to dairy work at the beginning of the war, in order to be exempt.'

Has a disability pension and NHI - really a last war casualty. Was wounded several times. "A poor looking crater". Family life harmonious.'
