Scope and Contents

This is a ring-bound undergraduate thesis (foolscap) entitled "Parks and Open Spaces" submitted by William B. Cape, BSc June 1948, to the Department of Town and Country Planning at Edinburgh College of Art. It consists of 33 pages plus appendices and 33 plates, with contemporary correspondence relating to the subject, and subsequent articles of relevance.

Scope and Contents A file entitled "Lister Trust Site - proposed Dental Hospital". The file contains notes of meetings with interested parties, correspondence, committee papers and minutes relating to the University of Edinburgh's application to the the Corporation of the City of Edinburgh for planning permission to build a dental hospital on a site owned by the Lister Trust, close to the location of the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, at the time. Scope and Contents

Two studies carried out by Percy Johnson-Marshall & Associates, evaluating sites for the construction of a proposed Dental Hospital and School for the University of Edinburgh. The first compares 3 sites within the University of Edinburgh Comprehensive Development Area. The second looks in more detail at one of the sites, the "Bristo Site".
