Description of the MiĆ¹ghlaigh/Mingulay schoolhouse describing its dimensions, furniture, household goods and some books. Carmichael writes, 'His house is about 30 F[eet] x 13 []feet]. It was built by the natives and is most rude and primitive. Ab[out] 18 f[eet] of this is the scholroom. The other end is the teacher's...Floor in ruts and hollows and roof just suf[ficiently] high to allow a tall man to stand upright without touching the centre rafters.'
