'Bibliotheca Edinburgena publica, sive index alphabeticus authorum operumque.' 3rd volume of 3. Bound in at the end of this volume are the printed catalogues of the Drummond donation (1627) and the Nairn bequest (1678).

    Clement Litill bequest
Instrument dated 14 October 1580, recording the delivery of of books bequeathed by Edinburgh advocate, Clement Litill to the town and kirk of Edinburgh.
It includes a copy of the minute of Edinburgh Town Council and inventory of the books written out by Alexander Guthrie, Town Clerk. According to Charles P. Finlayson, this was intended to hang on the library wall. It is currently unclear which Alexander Guthrie (father or son) was Town Clerk in October 1580.
Correspondence regarding F.A.E Crew's bequest to the Institute Library, 1968-1992
The material also contains a list of the books bequeathed to the Institute by Crew, and related correspondence, including two letters from Crew to Waddington about the bequest, and letters between the Institute and Crew's family about the eventual despatch of the books. There is also present a copy of Waddington's additional note on Crew's obituary which he sent to The Times.

'Henderson's Donations Book': a record of books donated to the University Library, 1667-1755, preceded by a list of earlier benefactors. Some entries for 1764-1824 have been added at a later date (see note by A. Brunton on page 76v).
This contains information donations made by major patrons, but also by students, merchants and other people.
