Correspondence, John Cameron to James Carmichael Watson, inviting attendance at a meeting with a Committee established to make an appeal for funds to establish a Chair in Celtic at Glasgow University. Letter also encloses a Memorial by Committee of the Glasgow University Ossianic Club, with reference to the establishment of a Chair of Celtic.

Also poetry exchanged between a minister and his lover, from John Matheson, Portree who recieved it from Donald Matheson alias Domhnall a' Chórnain (?Chórnair). The introduction is in Donald's own words.
