Photograph of a Bateke Chief sitting on a leopard skin wearing a cowrie shell hat and a brass collar around his neck and holding a buffalo hair whisk with another man standing next to him in front of a house in the early 20th century. The Bateke people were from the Stanley Pool [Pool Malebo] area of the Republic of Congo.

Copy of a pamphlet entitled "Ceremonial in Scotland on the death of Her Majesty The Queen", printed on the occasion of the ceremonies in Edinburgh following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on the 8th of September 2022. Because she died in Scotland, "Operation Unicorn" was triggered, and a procession, a ceremony, and a lying-at-rest period were organised for her in Edinburgh and at St Giles' Cathedral on the 12th and 13th of September 2022.

Story about dissection and Prince Sobieski of Poland, 17 August 1886
Story collected from Dr Aisley, Coillemore House [Killiemor House, Am Muile/Isle of Mull] telling how he dissected a royal subject while in Edinburgh University when he was an assistant to Professor Go[o]dsir. The royal subject was Prince Sobieski of Poland, who had been wounded in battle and escaped to Dùn Èideann/Edinburgh. He died in the infirmary of his wounds. The end of the story is very truncated and the text has been scored through in pencil.
